Crossfit is a constantly varied, functional movement, performed at high intensity. Here’s another way to look at it: CrossFit is a combination of lifting, running, throwing, climbing, and carrying; bars, bells, balls, rope, rigs, and rings, at an effort level that is variable and unique to the individual. The concept is designed for the individual’s fitness to be measured. The measurables are the individual’s increased capacity to do work across broad times and modal domains. Mastery is unachievable, but competency and improvement are inevitable if you are willing to provide the effort.
